UNCOVER SIXTEEN DRIBBLING STYLES.

I have 20 years of experience as a footballer and over 8 years of experience as a coach. During this time, I have spent hundreds of hours observing and analyzing the best dribbling players in the world. I’ve been watching: Messi, Cristiano, Mbappe, Figo, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Pele, Maradona, Garrincha, Cruyff, Giggs, Denilson, Robinho, Iniesta, Best, Robben, Ribbery, Baggio, Neymar, Hazard, Henry, Donovan and many others .

I was able to isolate 16 different ways (styles) of dribbling. In the book, I described each of them in detail, using video materials. There are specific training measures for each style.

I believe no one has ever described dribbling so thoroughly.

The book is an exhaustive classification of dribbling and full nomenclature.

Includes a training plan.

Is directed to:

• children playing soccer
• young people playing soccer
• adults playing soccer
• to beginner coaches / trainers for children and adolescents
• to coaches in amateur leagues
• to coaches of professional soccer teams

Fragment of the book:

MOVING YOUR OPPONENT

The way to do this is that you lead the ball (you don’t have to do it quickly, but you can) with your inner bounce into space next to your opponent. The rival is in front of you. Leading next to the inner lap makes it begin to move (most often with a heel-spaced step) towards the ball. If the defender has moved, you go where you have space. If not, you wait for him to stick his foot out for pickup and then pass him by. Useful (but not necessary) feints like drag push, la croqueta or body feint.

It can be done slowly – in small spaces or quickly in larger spaces and faster, then it is like „guidance”.

Moving opponent is most often used by players playing on the sides of the field (winger, side midfielders, side defenders). It is also the most common way of futsal dribbling.

This strategy is often used by: Iniesta, Ribery, Mbappe or Figo.

You can find examples in the video here: http://www.zostaclegenda.pl/przeswanie-pwiedznika-movement-defender/

How does Iniesta do it?

He gently pushes the ball with his inner instep, repeatedly with his right foot to his left. The ball is as if under his chest (i.e. his body is slightly leaning forward).

In other words, it guides the ball into the space next to the opponent who is standing in front of him and waiting for him to move. This makes the defender begin to shift …

The moment when the opponent takes his feet off the ground to get closer to Iniesta is ideal to dynamically change the direction of the run (the right-foot goes to his right), accelerate with the ball and get away from him.

Sometimes, however, the opponent positions himself in such a way that despite moving him, I block his exit to the right side. In this case, Iniesta continues to move it and waits for her to stick her leg out for pickup. When he does, he quickly passes his leg in a “la croqueta” feint, or simply walk dynamically to the left with the ball.

This is a bit like a cat and mouse game. It’s a psychological game between a dribbler and a defender.

By combining the movement of the opponent with the “zigzag” tool (changing directions of the run with the ball, again and again). We take control of the defender and we can “break” him, that is, make him spin around his axis.

Technical tips (for a right-footed player):

• Guide the ball with the inside of the foot / inside of your foot in…
