Applying Religion to cope with stress.

This is an unusual course as it is centred round one theme only: turning to religion as a means of seeking guidance to reduce stress.

We start off with a lecture about making the best use of your time on this course. So many students just fast forward or skim through or watch passively. I want all students to gain as much as possible from this course.

Stress kills.

Overcoming stress is something to achieve on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

So, the initial lectures deal with:

a. Making the best use of your time on the course

b. how to use the Udemy platform (skip this section if you are an experienced student!

c. the Oxford Diploma – no-one has yet achieved this on this course. It requires work, contemplation and action.

The Main Section

This includes:

• Definitions of stress
• Causes of stress
• How stress affects different parts of the body
• Why it is important to live one day at a time
• Achieving a balanced lifestyle
• Taking care of your health
• Caring for your Spiritual health
• Stillness
• Sunset
• Mindfulness
• Being realistic
• Achieving a calm heart

The next section looks at Islam and Stress. (So this course includes Chriatian and Islamic approaches to stress.)

The third section is where you create your very own stressbook. (None of this watching a 45 minute advertorial from some MD somewhere and then going and buying his/her book for $50! You create your OWN stressbook!)

So at the end of the course you’ll a) understand stress a lot better b) understand your interaction with stress and c) know how to deal with stress by referencing your own stressbook which you have created by applying the lectures.
